Major Roles
Bilbo Baggins (The Hobbit) — The reluctant hero; clever, cautious, and brave when it matters.
Gandalf the Wizard — Wise, mysterious guide who sets the adventure in motion.
Smaug the Dragon — Powerful, cunning antagonist guarding the Lonely Mountain and its treasure.
Thorin Oakenshield — Proud leader of the dwarves, driven by honor and reclaiming his homeland.
The Dwarves (can be expanded or doubled)
Balin — Kind, thoughtful, and supportive.
Dwalin — Strong, protective warrior.
Fíli — Young, eager, optimistic.
Kíli — Brave, quick, loyal.
Óin — Gruff, practical.
Glóin — Boisterous, humorous.
Bifur — Quiet, steady.
Bofur — Cheerful, warm-hearted.
Bombur — Comedic, food-loving.
(Optional additional dwarves: Nori, Dori, Ori, etc., depending on cast size.)

Gollum — Strange, conflicted creature who challenges Bilbo with riddles.
Elrond / Elves — Wise and elegant forest or Rivendell characters.
Trolls — Hungry monsters who tend to fight amongst themselves.
Spiders / Goblins / Wargs — Ensemble creatures for action and movement.
Bard the Bowman — Hero of Lake-town who confronts Smaug.
Join us for Children’s Theatre as The Hobbit comes to life on stage—an imaginative fantasy adventure following Bilbo Baggins, a quiet hobbit who is drawn from his peaceful home into a dangerous journey with dwarves and a wizard, where he encounters trolls, riddles, dragons, and learns that courage, loyalty, and cleverness can come from the most unexpected places.
